3. What is the CPU?
There are 3 different types of resources on the EOS mainnet: CPU Computing Resources (CPU), Network Bandwidth Resources (NET), and RAM.
There are three different types of resources on the EOS mainnet: CPU bandwidth, network bandwidth, and memory (RAM). On EOS, CPU power refers to the time it takes for the EOS network to process an operation instruction, usually expressed in milliseconds (ms), which is one of the blockchain resources allocated through the delegation mechanism.
Smart contract operations on blockchains require a lot of computation, and each operation requires a certain amount of CPU processing time and consumes CPU. Therefore, if the various projects and DApps built on EOS are to function properly, or if individuals want to broadcast transactions to the EOS network, your account must have sufficient CPU allocation.
For example, when you transfer tokens to another account, the EOS network processes the transaction (transfer instruction) and assumes that it takes 1 ms, then you must stake EOS in advance for at least 1 ms of CPU to guarantee the transfer successfully executed.
Therefore, the CPU is obtained through the stake EOS. The EOS system allocates CPUs based on the percentage of EOS collateral that the user uses to exchange for CPUs.
The price of the CPU refers to how long the CPU usage rights for one EOS can be staked. The formula is: the total amount of virtual CPU resources ÷ the total EOS collateral of the system. A typical representation is, for example, 0.1 EOS/ms/day, which is a stake of 0.1 EOS, which can get 1 ms of CPU per day.
I have carefully read all the contents of this disclosure, and fully understand and agree to the entire content, voluntarily assume the risks caused by the business carried out or involved, and all possible losses caused by this.
